An executive from GoDaddy was recently quoted about how some of the new domain registrars were not doing a good job of promoting and supporting their unique and different top level domain rights. On the whole I agree with him – but I am still an optimist and see the day is not far off when the world finally wakes up to the fact that you don’t need a .com name to grow a great business.
And it is registrars like the owners of the .club rights that are showing the way to this new internet landscape. Not only have they made .club names widely available through many registrars, but they are putting some marketing and promos behind the name.
