Background:
Cialis
is the commercial brand name for Tadalafil - as if anyone would
care who is not a doctor or pharmacist. All we can say is that
it is lucky for them they have $100 million advertising budget.
With that kind of money, and a very topical subject, you should
be able to brand anything the lawyer's sign off on. But why do
they have to make the marketing so hard? Is this a reaction to
the pioneer Viagra in the market? Not only did Viagra garner enormous
publicity as the leader, they had a powerful new name to work
with. One that had hidden meanings and feelings that were all
positive. One that stopped all "vi" names of any sort
for quite a while.
But
Cialis? Is that a disease or a biology term? We still don't get
it. Sorry. Wouldn't even know how to pronounce it except for the
TV ads. Only reason it doesn't get a zero is the fact that we
know their are a lot of FDA and legal requirements for drug names.
But Levitra is the other new competitor on the market, and they
managed to get life and vitality feelings into their name.
Usually
when we get stuck like this, we look to the logo for some understanding.
Can someone please tell us what this logo is supposed to mean?
Color choices are somewhat interesting though. More details
at www.cialis.com.
